The Era of Online Education

A quote from Zig Ziglar – “If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you “, is rightly said.

Studying and any other activity we start requires commitment and dedication. If you are consistent and don’t give up, it is certain that you will achieve your goals. Taking out time each day to study and finishing a fitting measure of work regularly is very effective.

For completing your education and future career aspects ahead in life, it is important to study and for that inculcating study habits are essential. When an exam is approaching, most students experience anxiety and their confidence gets lost. They tend to forget whatever they have learned while they were preparing. The students intentionally skip difficult topics as they are tough and take time to understand.

Here are a few tips on how to study smart and get the results you desire-

Smart Study: The most important tip for getting the desired results is to actually start studying and not to run away from it. Studies can be boring and monotonous. But it is necessary to see the bright side. Parents should encourage their children to study, not pressurize them and help them reach their goals.

Daily Routines: Make a routine for yourself and start your day according to it. Try not to rush, go slow and steady. Give time to each course or activity you select. You cannot become pro in a day. The beginning is the first step towards progress. A routine will help you manage your day, without making you feel guilty that you wasted your day. You can start by waking up early, going for a walk, having a healthy breakfast and then start your studies.

Schedules and Daily Study Planner: As much as a monthly plan is essential, a daily plan will be the most useful in your study progress. A daily planner will give you happiness at the end of the day. As when your tasks in your day complete, it will give you the motivation to go ahead. Set achievable goals in your daily study planner. Don’t mix subjects, divide them according to the time availability and level of toughness. The quality of time matters. Remember sitting and studying for hours will not benefit you but what matters is, while you are sitting how much you actually retain.

Take out time for yourself too!

Notes: Making notes can be a tedious task. Make notes that are fun and easy to read and memorize. It is important that you understand the topic before learning it. Notes should be well organized according to the topic. Use pictures and flowcharts wherever you can, this will enhance your memory. By highlighting the text and using colorful pens to mark certain areas which are most important. Use tricks in between especially in Subjects like Mathematics. It will make your learning easy.

Take Breaks: In your daily study planner, mention the breaks. As these breaks will help you in refreshing yourself. You will feel energized and your mind will retain more information in such a way. Once your break is over try to go through whatever you read just before taking the break. If you want the content to retain in your mind for a longer duration, have a look at it within 13 hours of reading it.

Compare Scores: While planning your day, keep tests or quizzes at the end of the day to measure your performance. By doing this, you will be able to compare your results from the previous day and study your progress. You will have an idea about the topics which require more attention and time.

Too much studying will make you dull. Remind yourself – All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Stay away from distractions and make your life. At the end of the day, “You are responsible for you.”
