To all the girls out there who have curly hair
Do you love your hair the way they are or you have to go through a lot of struggle to make them look beautiful?
Each one of you out there has a different hairstyle and hair type. Some are born with straight hair, some with wavy hair while the others with curly hair. There is a look for everyone.
But if you are unhappy with your hair type, you have to do great efforts for the look you want. You tend to spend a huge amount of money on hairstyling. Not to forget, making you anxious at the same time. As you very well know, that whatever treatment you are going for, will last for a maximum of 6 months. Generally, girls with curly hair want to get them straightened. And the girls with straight hair crave for curls.
I am the type who is born with curly hair. And I simply and completely love my curls. I have never ever felt the need to change my hairstyle or get them straightened.
But there are many things you get to hear from people around when you have curly hair:
- Your hair is so curly! Why don’t you get them straightened?
- How long does it take to shampoo your hair? Do you use conditioner properly? Don’t we all use a conditioner after shampoo?
- Ma’am your hair will take a little more than an hour to straighten your hair. And that is something we all dread and think why do we have to go to that party after all?
- Do you use some special products or serum to manage your hair? Yes I do, don’t you?
- Lucky you! Your hair is always ready for a function/party. Not always!! I also need some different look.
- Are these your natural curls ? or have you got perming done?
- I love to play with my straight hair, how do you manage yours? Why do we have to play with hair?
- Has anything ever got stuck in your hair? Why will anything get stuck? No! Never!
- Your hair looks like a bunch of grapes! Yes, they do! And by the way, I love them.
- You never change your hairstyle. Because sometimes we don’t have much of a choice.
- Your ponytail is never sleek. Obviously, because my hair is curly.
- We never get to see your hair length. Even if you can see the length, does it change anything?
- Why don’t you keep your hair open, because if I do they will blow up and you will run away.
- You would look so pretty with straight hair. Thank you! But I love myself like this only.
Some tips to manage your curly hair include – Using a wide-tooth comb. While you apply conditioner, at that moment comb with the wide-tooth comb to untangle your curls. Apply a leave-in conditioner and scrunch your hair after hair wash. Avoid blow-drying your hair because it will make your hair frizzy and blow up. Soak 5 almonds in water at night and eat them in the morning every day. Eating walnuts will also help.
But whatever said and done, the world is a nasty place. People will always comment and judge. You girls with curly hair are the most fun-loving and kind-hearted. Your hair will break, shed, or tangle. But it is OK. Love yourself the way you are. Realize your self-worth and forget about the world.
