There’s no doubt, dumping negative behavior patterns and embracing great ones can be testing. The key is setting yourself up for progress. When you think of a lifestyle change, think about the purpose behind the change. Discover your motivation which can be self, family or friends.

The lifestyle change doesn’t happen in a day. We will have to make a conscious effort to change our eating habits and switch to a healthy eating lifestyle. Choose foods that are light and healthy instead. It will be difficult to say NO to your favorite food, but it is not impossible. We need to control our temptation and give positive reminders to ourselves.

For such a change the timing really matters. Give time and try not to change all your habits in a day. Such changes will not happen if you are stressed about it. You need to give time and attention.

Your family and friends need to be very supportive as it will benefit you in sticking to your goals. Since a lifestyle change doesn’t happen overnight, remember not to be negative and DO NOT PUSH YOURSELF TOO HARD.

By paying little attention to our body, we can do wonders. When your stomach tells you it is full, listen to it. Little efforts every day are essential for a healthy body, mind, and soul. Anything you do for 21 days, becomes a habit. Start by changing your daily habits. 

Incorporate yoga and meditation in your daily routine. You will be happy and feel peace within. Your organs will function and blood circulation will improve. There will be harmony in your life and your overall concentration will increase. 

There are some tips you can take to care of your health –

  • Try to get a minimum of 6 hours of sleep, do not skip your breakfast as that is the most important meal of the day. 
  • Drink lots of water while sitting and choose green leafy vegetables and fruits over street food or junk food. 
  • Choosing healthy eating options like salads and nuts over chips and unhealthy food items. 
  • Chew your food well and sit while you eat.
  • Try out from the different challenges like the 7-day no sugar challenge or 7-day no carb challenge.
  • Do not rely on packaged food and beverages. 
  • Try not to overeat and balance out by adding exercise in your life as exercise will add value to your life
  • Avoid the lift and choose the stairs
  • Quit alcohol and smoking 

Lifestyle change is a procedure that requires effort and patience. When you are prepared for a change, don’t feel afraid about the path and keep yourself motivated. Don’t feel discouraged. Keep on moving, follow this wellness approach and change your life.
