You can’t make everyone happy! You are not RAJMA CHAWAL

Met anyone so far who is a people pleaser or likes to please people?

Well! To all the people pleasers out there, no matter how much you try to please whomever you want to please, you simply cannot make everyone happy. Whether it is your colleagues, family members, group of friends you can’t please everyone or keep everyone happy at the same time. One person among all will always be unhappy. That will make you feel that you cannot keep everyone happy at the same time.

We all have come to this world with a different personality. No two individuals are alike. Because of such a thing, when we talk, our message can be interpreted differently by anyone. Apparently, we live in a world wherein we consciously or unconsciously care about what the other people think or say about us. It is a part of our nature that whoever is around us their thoughts and opinions matter a lot to us.

Still trying to PLEASE everyone?

Is it really important for you to get approval from others? Ever thought how necessary it is to realize your self-worth. In our ever-changing and fast lives, you want to make sure you are not disappointing your loved ones, your family or your friends. But do you realize the amount of time you actually spend in just caring about the needs of the people instead of your own?

Undoubtedly it is a beautiful feeling to love and care. But sometimes if you care too much will end up hurting yourself. Yes, we love to put the need of others before ours. That is another way of pleasing others, even if you do, some may be happy while others may not be.

It is OKAY to be Selfish & stick up for yourself!

While keeping others happy all the time, people try to take advantage of the situation. All this will break your heart and leave you shattered. With your kind heart and selfless nature, you try to win hearts but you are not – Rajma Chawal/ Chocolate/ a jar of Nutella/ Pizza / Momos, that gives happiness to everyone. And please don’t even try to be. Just be you. Try to listen to your inner voice and identify when others genuinely want your help or you to be there.

Whatever you do, whether it is good or bad, everyone will have an opinion about it always. I know it is sad that we can’t make everyone happy. We just wish and that everyone around us should be happy. But it is not your responsibility to do that. You cannot give everyone what they want. All you can do is, love yourself and others but try not to please them. You will bump into people who love being around you and some who don’t like to be around you.

Be your own BLESSING!

The change doesn’t happen in a day. It will take some effort to do that. You have to realize from within you that, even if you are a gem of a person or a person who is truly genuine, you simply cannot change what others think or feel about you. You should sit back, take time and think that you sacrificed yourself in many situations for others and you put yourself first. Whereas, it was purely a waste of time as you were just trying to make others happy and they kept putting you down. Try and put that energy into something that you love to do. People who you are trying to please are giving a damn about it, they are living the best of their lives and doing so well in life. You also can be all of this.

Thus, free yourself of this constant stress and worry and live life. There are only a few people who get such chances to change for good. Changes are terrifying but worth it. Take a step back from all the trouble and realize your self-worth.
