Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! Keep calm and trust Ganesha!

My favorite month of the year is here September – The time of the Ganesh Festival. The ten days of Ganesh Chaturthi till the day of Ganesh Visarjan hold so much importance to me. Ganesh Chaturthi is on 2nd September 2019. 

You must have observed that Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated majorly in Mumbai, but nowadays people from all over India celebrate it. 

On this day, everyone welcomes Lord Ganesha in their homes and it is the birthday of Ganeshji. You can witness huge pandals set up all around the city. It is said that Lord Ganesha who is the remover of obstacles comes to our homes and carries all the problems away. You can either buy Lord Ganesha’s idol or make your own idol using either clay or mud. On the day of the Visarjan, which can be one/ three/five/seven or days after Lord Ganesha is immersed in the water. These days in the markets you can see Eco-friendly Ganeshji. 

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ | 

निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा || 

It is a Hindu festival, which brings so much joy to me. Ganeshji loves to eat Modak, it is his favorite food. If Modak is unavailable in the market, you can carry Ladoo too. So, if you are visiting the temple on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi carry Modak/ Ladoo along. Light a Diya and say your prayers. Offer Lord Ganesha a red color flower.
