I love making Lists. Don’t you? And if you still haven’t tried, you should. On the days I make a list is one of my most rewarding days. There are numerous advantages of lists. It helps me organize and recall what I intend to do. Lists make my day complete. It is simple to make a list and it surely does wonders!

Writing down all your thoughts will help you with planning. You can make a list for a number of things like a list of things to carry while traveling, list of items to shop for, grocery list, medicine list, movie list, songs list, bucket list, list of tasks in a day, list of planning events like birthday parties /bachelors party/ anniversary party/ baby shower and the list goes on.

Benefits of Lists :

Organize & Prioritize: When you make a list, the biggest benefit is organizing. During the day sometimes your schedule gets changed. Maybe some tasks take a little less time than you thought. In such cases, the list is there to organize your day and prioritize your time. As you will clearly know where you can find time for unexpected plans. You will surely not miss out on your important tasks as you mark them on high priority.  

Anxiety: There are days when you have so much to do. Your mind is boggled up. You feel anxious as you are confused about where to start. To reduce your anxiety, lists will help you keep calm. It is a good habit to pen down your tasks.

Eases Stress: Once you have written down your tasks and you now feel less anxious. As you see your work getting done, you will move forward productively. It will allow you more time to relax. You will feel relaxed as this will be a break you deserved well.

Use your mind: When you will make a list, it will help you in using your brain power to the fullest. You will have to think and put down all your tasks on paper which are in your mind.

I often say to myself that there are so many things I want to do. And then I question myself how will I ever complete or achieve my goals?

Arranging your time: A list will help you arrange your time. When you mark your tasks on top priority, you can reschedule the other tasks which need less time or they can be shifted to the next day. Rescheduling keeps your mind at peace. Remember sometimes you can’t do everything in one day. 

Focus: Your focus will increase once you develop the habit of making a list. As and when your task start finishing, it will keep you happy and focused to finish the next. 

Compose Your Thoughts: The thoughts you have when you wake up are responsible for your entire day. A peaceful start by listing down all your works will keep you content.  

Keeping a track of things and putting them down on paper is always of great help. When I complete a task, I cross it off. This increases my confidence and keeps me moving!
